The Beechjet 400A is an upgraded version of the Beechjet 400, which was an upgraded version of the Mitsubishi MU-300 Diamond (first introduced in 1978). There are nearly no Mitsubishi Diamond's left on the charter market, and very few Beechjet 400s, however the Beechjet 400A has proven to be one of the most successful light jet aircraft on the charter market because of its large and comfortable cabins as well as its speed.

The 400A was first introduced in 1990 and adds improved range, better performance, a more luxurious cabin, and a glass cockpit to its predecessor the 400.

The best part of the Beechjet 400A from a passenger perspective is its cabin. The Beechjet 400A, and its offspring, the Hawker 400XP, offer the best cabin out of any light jet in our opinion. The cabin is well appointed, built of high grade materials (in the later models), and spacious by light jet standards. Although cabin configurations vary, the standard Beechjet 400A cabin has 7 captains chairs. The 400A also has an enclosed lavatory that is belted in order to accommodate an 8th passenger, if necessary. Naturally, the 8th seat on the lavatory isn't the most comfortable. The next best part of the Beechjet is its speed, its one of the fastest light jets out there alongside the Learjet light jets.

The Beechjet 400A does come with a few drawbacks, however. First of all, the baggage capacity is pretty abysmal; we'll tell you now that you can't bring a "full size" suitcase onboard the Beechjet. Next, the Beechjet's range isn't stellar, making the plane require fuel stops on trips that other light jets would be able to complete non-stop. Your The Early Air Way specialist will let you know if you will require a fuel stop or not. Finally, the Beechjet's "high hot" performance isn't the greatest, meaning that the plane's range will be limited when departing from a high-altitude airstrip with a high outside temperature; i.e. Aspen during the summer.

With all this said however, the Beechjet 400A and its Hawker 400XP counterpart are probably the most popular Light Jets amongst clients of The Early Air Way.
